Yes, in a true hydrocarbon reservoir formation water is catastrophic. But this is not that. This new industry that needs new solutions and extraction techniques fit for purpose.
If you try changing your perspective a bit, you may just see that the increased helium in formation water is a positive sign. We all know helium is inert and will always travel through water on its journey to rise from the depths. It's a matter of when, not if, GHY find the traps containing the gas.
Perhaps the formation water with such a high % of helium would be a byproduct for one of the big players to extract it from that water. Degassing or stripping to allow collection, then whatever method for purification best suited. GHY sell the water and collect a cut of the gas sale. Cha-ching!
