    I wouldn't say that it was irrational
    • different people read announcements differently and see different things in them
    • people suddenly have an unexpected need for cash and thus need to sell some of their holdings
    • people are always on the hunt for new opportunities and may have found something that they believe is a better investment or offer a quicker return
    • plenty of other possible reasons
