If memory serves me correctly Vertical was chosen as its the next logical step. We didnt know exactly what best interval of the HRZ to frack - IW1 wasn't 100% conclusive on this. Plus vertical allowed or was going to allow us to look at HUE and many intervals in the HRZ. In the end they chose just two frac points. Yes in the end these two zones comingaled but doubt this was fully expected. Precious info gathered for the next drill no doubt.

Yes we could have estimated an interval to go horizontal and struck a great spot but on the other hand what if the flow was poor and disasterous on the SP when 100 ft above is actually the perfect landing and flows magically and we miss out on this valuable data just because we jumped ahead and missed a step.

DW is well vested into making sure things succeed in the best possible way and I'm sure numerous people were consulted when it came to making the best decision for the Coy and us shareholders.
