As I commented a while back - this seems to be the way it is with Australian governments "supporting innovation". Many, many people badly burnt on multiple tickers by the ALDP fiasco and as far as I can recall the mega corp recipients delivered exactly nothing in the ensuing years whilst the small agile and innovative applicants who missed out mostly went under or were devastatingly damaged. That seems to be the mechanism for these programs - to act as a way for the mega corps to destroy the aspiring disruptors that are snapping at their heels with the collusion of governments.
