the mainstream push diversification because the average person should not have and does not have the will or the ability or the connections to get to know one or a few stocks in great detail and understanding
just give us your hard earned money to control and we will charge you a management fee ok. You just go back to watching tv. Be happy with indexed returns, average, same as everyone else, let the system determine your returns.
