It's certainly going to bode well for us, I would like to point out a coupe of things in our favour -
1. Our Endometriosis collaboration is with two highly respected and renowned institutions; Melbourne University & Royal Women's Hospital. The sole purpose of this collaboration is to develop the worlds first blood test for the condition. We had a small scale successful POC in 54 patients back in March 2020 which led to this collaboration, thus this collaboration will be known within the industry and I think will be a reputable candidate for the additional government funding. Sara Carson is a leading researcher in this space and is involved in this collaboration. Also Richard has filed a patent for the biomarkers that were found from our successful POC, as we know it takes years for patents to be granted but rest assured ours has been filed.
2. Dr Guy Skinner is a leading Obstetrician& Gynaecologist based in Melbourne. He is and has been a T20 holder of PIQ since the company went public. Note PIQ has touted that it had a potential biomarker for Endometriosis from very early on but had put focus on PromarkerD validation first.
It's a shame about the macro market events which has seen allot of money leave the biotech/small cap space, but the other perspective is this is just another buying opportunity. With what we have in our pipeline (don't forget we had a successful outcome with QIMR for oesophageal cancer which has now moved into a joint development for a diagnostic test) it amazes me every day that this is still valued at the current price.
