Couple of replies, @George1972 1) PromarkerD is prognostic prior to DKD occurring & assists Physicians to flag patients who need more regular screening vs low risk. 2) but also prognostic in monitoring diagnosed DKD patients from Stage 1 & predicting renal function decline (which is what KidneyIntelX does, not predict DKD years ahead). PromarkerD is unique in that way, which is a really good thing.
I am not sure on the status of RenalytixAI takeover as it’s all confidential, nothing appears to have yet been disclosed, nor which diagnostics company are buying, but I doubt their tech is ‘finished’ when it’s just been included in KDIGO guidelines, I’m not invested in that company (so I don’t really care & their cash burn has been massive), & yes the CMS approved the cost of $990 (huge), PromarkerD far more cost effective, not only for the test but cost savings in preventing DKD & treating early to prevent ESRD, dialysis & kidney transplant or early death.
So IF PromarkerD is also to be used as a screening test for patients with stage 1 DKD & beyond, this is where the KDIGO recommendations could potentially have an impact for PIQ. Not for screening ahead of DKD & predicting which patients will have that diagnosis down the track. Be great if PromarkerD is included there also in the next year or 2 for prognostic testing of Type2 DM patients.
@dsa69 yes you have to be very patient with these things. PIQ have had their fair share of setbacks & I remained very patient from 2017/2018 until early 2023 I think & I absolutely believe in their tech or I would never have invested in the first place.
So what @george72 said - SHs deserve better communication & the last one was a doozy, especially at this late stage in the commercialisation. Trust is important for LT investors.
I did not come here this morning to ‘downramp’ the company, but reading some comments here, it was like Groundhog Day. I think a little more transparency could have avoided the events of yesterday on the market - SH are pretty resilient & forgiving in a tightly held stock, unless it’s all from Sonic’s end & NDA?
