At the moment, having looked at some of the 'model' VMS deposits I imagine that next steps would attempt to orientate the deposit by mapping altered host rocks, relevant sulphides, elements and other key factors. You gave some great examples to be alert to: following the sulphides from Zn towards Cu thus locating the feeder/stringer zone; and also tracking the sediment horizon for any contained sulphides.

It seems that vms have generally well defined structures which greatly assists its exploration. It would seem that an early estimation might be made of the scale of the deposit from, say, extrapolating from an arc of the exhalative zone, or gauging the thickness of the sulphide dome (if I might call it that) from the thickness of the encircling enhanced zones. Of course, this might all seem rather simplified from your perspective, but i am working from google where VMS deposits have the regular shape of a fried egg. I imagine in the field it's not so
simple.

aybe Government Well, being Archaean and in the Yilgarn Craton, may not be deformed, or as deformed, as the Bryah Basin.

As per usual though, it's a matter of waiting to see what the drilling yields.
