Proof of concept saves a lot of time and resources. The team know exactly which way they want to go with the 12CQ. My opinion only but I think development times are getting shorter. The development path is constantly being de risked by bringing it into practical integration with semiconductor control read out. Superconducting resonators are no leap in the dark, rather they're a well known tried and tested way to do spin read out in the electronic engineering world. Always good when cutting edge disruptor tech can land on its feet safely in real world application.
Again my opinion, I think we have moved out of pure academic lab environments into 2 accelerator hubs/commercialisation pathways. One is Cicada innovations, the other is QML that has a similar innovation focused QMI. Both locations have the facilities to accelerate as well as identify best pathways to market. Incidentally I have to credit the board and CEO Mo for always having had an end goal to commercialise the 12CQ with early Letters of Intent obtained from end users such as defence contractors. It shows there is at least a few viable use cases that a 12CQ can be put to. Waiting for the big reveal as to what those uses could be.
As a retail investor in a deep tech venture I'm pretty happy with the plans, the next steps, the industry best practices being followed.
