Take a look at world resources and reserves of lithium and the historical growth in r & r. Now take a look at annual world production of Li. Even if consumption grows exponentially as you say, there are decades of reserves. Any increase in demand will be met by new production, so while price spikes are possible, they will be short lived, and any producer had better be low on the cost curve!
