Poor old Mike Spreadborough demoted. Hennigh had to find a scapegoat to cover up his own gross incompetence. Mike was just following Orders- Hennighs mad schemes ALWAYS fail with someone else given the blame, and the new CEO will need to take this into account before accepting the job.
