The top two reasons for your article was price and lack of charging stations - both being addressed. Slowly but surely.

Do you not understand simple statistics?
50% (in australia, 29% world wide) said they want to go back to petrol for reasons being addressed. Compared to the huge year on year growth.... And there is a cost of living crisis at the moment. And still 26% growth on same time last year......

The rate of growth may be slowing - of course it is, thats just common sense. But sales are still growing. 26.8% growth on last year. Thats huge in anyones language.
