No-one bought over 70 cents Squinny, the highest the SP went to was .625.Who is looking you ask? Good question and the strong downtrend also signifies that no-one is looking at this company in its current format and why would you?
Okay, here's the scenario and I hope this post doesn't drag on too long.
So the below weekly chart is of the BIO sector, it is a clear representation of momentum, sentiment and money flow. Surely we can all agree the since 2021 the sector is struggling to attract new money and we can confidently assume that investors have been busy in other sectors leaving BIO's alone.
Now , we can also confidently assume as has been the case many times over the last 50 years that sector popularity swings around therefore the BIO sector will come into vogue again sometime. (I have no idea when, maybe months, maybe years but it will).
So work with me here. Let's say that in 6 months time macro situations have swung a few degrees and for reasons unbeknownst by me healthcare and BIO start to receive some love and markets begin flowing money back into it. Brokers come out of a coma and start looking at viable stocks that they can recommend for their clients, SP's are moving positively backing up the renewed sentiment and the sector turns from bearish to bullish. Money flow really starts ramping up.
Now comes the time for investors to do a little bit of research into which stocks to put their hard earned into. Big investors are doing the same and of course insto's are already building positions. It really starts to build its own FOMO situation.
Lets now pick a few random stocks that investors might look at only using the basic (but most important) fundamentals. Keep in mind that they know nothing about these companies, their just creating their lists and eliminating ones that they'd never contemplate.
NEU
PAR
CU6
IMU
RAC
DXB
Now seriously, who's the first one you'd never consider??
So forgetting the mums and dads HC club members that only invest on posts rather than real information, serious investors didn't have to look too far to already drop one of those stocks of the prospective lists.
It really is as simple as that. @Ianwil you asked who's looking? No-one is and that's the reason why, there are so many far better alternatives available on the market therefore IMU management have to present a better market competitive product.
I also put NEU on the top of that list as a reminder that they conducted a consolidation a few years ago as they were in a similar situation to IMU. Man has it worked for them, go check it out!
I'll repeat what I have said many times before. If a company continues to have a falling SP after the consolidation settles then it's not the fault of the consolidation, you just have a shite company with little progress. Therefore it was going to be shite consolidation or not. But if you guys truly believe in the IMU science and trial program to have a strong future then being able to present to the marked in an attractive way compared to trailer trash will make a remarkable difference. And if you don't then what the hell are you doing here?
By the way, consolidations have zero effect of market operations such as algorithmic trading, shorting etc, you'll still have all that to look forward to. Three of those stocks above are heavily shorted. (CU6 at 9%)
I fully support management for doing this.
Now i'd love to hear valid reasons why a consolidation won't be a good thing for IMU?
Cheers
