The greatest final nail in anyone’s portfolio is the “averaging down” strategy. Investing more capital into a bad trade because someday you “might” get all your money back on speccy stocks is a doomed theory especially when you way up what you could have put that extra cash into.
It’s one of the reasons these threads are so tense. IMO
