No, I have made nothing on IMU. Shorting stocks (i.e. betting on their failure), especially in this space, doesn't sit well with me.
I genuinely hope that IMU will succeed. I started posting on IMU when considering it as an investment - I thought there might be a near term licensing agreement for the B Cell platform to allow them to ramp up the Azer-Cel execution (which I've said before, it has definitely shown promise). We all know IMU has run hard off the back of news in the past, it was worth considering as a trade. At the time I was told that I was stupid and a dumb sh*t for considering this licensing focus as a possible strategy for IMU. Management announced their intention to do exactly this a few months later...
I didn't do too much digging into CF33* initially as my investment thesis was a short term trade to exit after a licensing deal was announced. However, it didn't take long to find a number of red flags, namely PD1-VAXX and various commercial/strategic decisions made by the company that have been detrimental to the returns of retail shareholders.
On raising these red flags, I have been called the following:
- Dumb C*nt
- F*ck wit
- P**do
- numerous other slurs and variations of the above
- threatened and blocked
None of this bothers me (it's the internet after all), but to elicit this response, ironically, is another massive red flag on IMU.
I guess I'm still posting here because, even as just an observer, I'd like to see shareholders take more control of the trajectory of the company. Most of the pain being felt today is due to inaction or poor planning by IMU management yesterday - and the fact that shareholders have accepted it. This is detrimental to the entire industry. It's setting the expectation of poor returns and massively dilutive raises that only benefit the inner sanctum and only ever shafts retail. How are fledgling Bio's to find support and secure reasonable funding terms in the years ahead? Bio has been in a precarious position for years - IMU is not helping.
