Another biotech, another share consolidation. IMU now going for a 1-for-34 reverse split. From 7.4B shares to ~220M. Because nothing says “strong fundamentals” like needing to clean up a bloated cap table.

Let’s cut through the spin:

• Your shares shrink, price goes up, but your holding is worth the same (until the next dilution).

• Options adjusted, market cap unchanged, and we’re all meant to pretend this makes the company more “investable.”

Reality check:
This isn’t being done because the science just hit a breakthrough. It’s being done because the share price was stuck in the mud, and nobody serious wants to touch a stock trading under 2 cents with a 7B+ float. It’s a cosmetic move, and we’ve seen it before — many times, same result.

And now here we are, miraculously sitting at 60 cents (post-consolidation). Amazing what a bit of arithmetic can do. Only problem? Most companies that pull this stunt tend to slowly drift right back to where they started unless there’s actual news to follow it up.

What’s next?

• Capital raise at the shiny new price? Wouldn’t bet against it.

• More retail holders trapped on the way down? Probably.

• Pipeline progress? Hopefully — but we’ve been hoping a while.

Unless there's something big behind the scenes, this is just a fresh haircut on the same tired head.
