Excellent points Chuk. Especially that a higher salary takes money and drains cashflow meaning a CR amd dilution. The only caveat is that a higher salary would be granted and look good when there is cashflow to support it. If a salary increase meant a CR then that is not a good look also.

It is about being accountable. I am research scientist in the public service. Holy crap, we need to be accountable for our actions. And rightly so, we need to act in the best interest of the taxpayer and if we don’t then we should have to explain ourselves. That is our primary remit. It’s a shame that politicians and company execs don’t feel the same duty to those that pay their wages.

The tide is slowly turning. Look at what happened to the Rio execs. It will just take time to filter through as part of the whole socially responsible investing IMO. But I guess that’s a little off topic.
