Small raise relative to the market cap so might not have much impact. A rising oil price would probably override the effect of the capital raise. A falling oil price would be another matter.
Rising US bond yields are due to increasing inflationary expectations. Rising bond yields are generally bad for markets but rising commodity prices support resource stocks which will likely outperform growth stocks. Our market will get some support from its weighting from banks which would benefit from rising interest rates if rates do follow bond yields. Banks might initially follow markets lower first though. I'm bullish resource stocks. I took a position in the placement and have no plans to flip if oil prices continue to trend higher. Our market will initially correct with the US which I think has topped now but our market should now outperform the US market with the banks and resources likely to outperform tech stocks from now on.
