Look at n.t.a for companies like bhp rio ipl wes ncm...these companies might seem to investors as good long term stocks...but if they go under there is virtually not much left for the shareholder...i agree that some of those stocks might be good long term stocks but if there was any chance that they go into receivership surely investors that bought shares on top of the cycle might see a massive loss...so by listening to market analysts , fund managers and journalists that say cnp shareholders might get nothing ...why not look at the roughly 2000 listed companies(or calculate the number yourself) on the asx and see for yourself what the n.t.a backing is for those stocks...and the b.s.. you read in the paper and hear from others that centro has to pay off all their debt, this is just more b.s.. cnp just needs to get their gearing down to acceptable levels ...whatever company you invest in on the asx there will always be that element of risk...IMO why pay $4 or $5 later on for the stock because thats what cnp will be worth when they fix up this mess and get back to paying dividends...and they will FIX up this short term mess... i really believe this is a golden opportunity for new investors to enter and be greedy when people are fearful...

Look at market fluctuations as your friend rather than your enemy; profit from folly rather than participate in it...
