I checked with my tax agent, and she confirmed that the likes of imuoa do attract the cgt 12 months discount. Although underneath they are options, they are traded and listed on the asx the same as shares. That's how come one can buy them with a share trading account, and one sees them in their share's watchlist.
Options that are not listed on the asx like shares (where one needs a special options trading account to write or buy) do not attract the cgt discount.
