I think the general feeling is that the SP will be higher by the end of the year so exercising options now does not appear to be so strange.
I have owned shares in companies that that a huge amount of options but the SP dived to a point where it was lower than the option price and none were exercised - that is not the case with IMU.
All I can see from this is that IMU gets some cash coming in - always a good thing.
