Yeah a questionable habit adopted from Silicon Valley, where everyone loves getting paid in options and shares in companies that sometimes go to silly prices on the euphoric market love of digital company success.
I suppose if its to the consultant trying to get and ATI partner on Board then appropriate as it aligns their incentives with shareholders. But yet again at an "at the money" share price. Invcentivize directors and other stakeholders with "out of the money" options. Make them work for their money by getting the share price higher. $0.50, $0.60 or even $0.70 striked options. Not $0.37.
