I worked at ABM the year before they started to mine.
I can tell you that every single vein had huge amounts of gold in it.
I and another fieldy used to look at the drilling and grab a hand full out of each of the 1m sections that had hit quartz and pan it at the end of each day for a bit of fun. All of the quartz was loaded.

I don't believe it. Someone stuffed up and they didn't know how to fix it. Thats my opinion.
Tanami was set up for nuggety gold. Old pirate was fine gold.
So, 13 years later they still are scratching their heads.
Rock samples were in the thousands of grams a tonne of gold.

How do you accidentally hit thousands of grams a tonne on loads of rock samples yet pull nothing out.
I still have the opinion that they just need a more experienced miner to check it out and come up with the solutions.

I asked one geo at ABM what happened and he didn't know why they were not getting the recoveries that they hoped for.
Although the Geo's were good geo's they were not miners. I think they needed a good miner to get the best out of the deposit they had sitting there.
It's just an opinion.
I am still shaking my head and wondering why they had the results they had.
