My own too simplistic Au mania SELL signal, though not my invention, is when "Buy Gold...! headlines in the papers, online and physically, when ABC etal. lead with Au stories. At that point I wait/watch for a fall.
Moral of the story: There's money to be made, BUT do NOT drink the Koolaid.
