reading the release again, it seems NTD's sales of cooper products fall into two categories: those covered by the exclusive dealing arrangement (ie, para 3, re: "exclusive distributor of certain Cooper branded products" which expires in Sept 2022 with a 5 yr right of renewal); and those outside that (see para "In addition to these contractual rights ..."

not clear what sales and margins fall under the first category (with contractual rights) and those in the second (where more informal arrangements seem to be in place).

but all that said, the comment that "the proposed Cooper purchase is expected to present new opportunities for NTD" seems very positive.

but then the next para seems to suggest changes are coming post completion (after Sept 2021). So the changes are "not expected to have any impact on earnings in FY21"... but the release is silent on the period after that.

In short, I'm just not clear what to make of it all !
