I hold Santos and all their critical pipelines running around and they bought in a Chinese partner - and unlike Virgin who was started by a pom - Santos was a real aussie company second in oil & gas only to woodside on the Australian owned and based list... Australia has bugger all now which it can claim is its own - we mainly owned by the yanks then the poms and a distant 3rd is Japan then 4th is China/Hong Kong..

Here is the 2015 list I see the US has been buying up even more in 2 years - they now own $860billion worth of Australia..and look at Belgium where did they come from? they're now 3rd at $238billion..
