Mine was a similar story to yours, launched into the trading game gung ho early last year and watched my parcel double from 10c to 21 at which point I topped up very heavily. (around time the time of the 1.1 billion project funding announcement) then watched the SP slide and my portfolio all teh way down to 3 cents where I cut my losses.
That would kill off most would be investors after getting burnt so badly never to return again, But the way I see it, this was the loss I needed to have to make me realise that the stockmarket is not something that you can throw darts at, despite my huge losses. I dusted myself off and launched straight back in with borrowed funds and invested in companies that were well researched that were significantly undervalued and have since prospered, but I am certain that I owe it all to the lessen that I learned in investing in scams like CVI.
To all newbies, let this be a harsh lesson but never let it scare you away all together.
