ASIC may take time, but the good thing about these sorts of (alleged) crimes is the paper trail is there for a long time. As far as I know there is no statute of limitations MS and co can hide behind, not yet anyways :):)
And yes, this would be a great media story. They love anything to do with the internet these days. ASIC's involvement gives it some credibility, the 'internet con' factor draws a crowd.
All it needs is some sort of sex scandal and it is away.
