Tesla has lodged a patent in recent weeks for an improved battery. A 20 year lifespan, 4000+ recharges, about 1,000,000 miles travelled and still at 90% capacity after all of that! Trouble is the benchmark product is using artificial Graphite for its anode!These batteries are apparently cheaper to produce, will give their PowerWalls and grid storage a life span of 20+ years, and may in fact be even better than what Tesla has announced to the public!
There is no doubt that the future is very exciting for EVs and solar powered, home, business and grid, battery storage of electricity!
Hopefully VRC will achieve its funding goals and be off and running to supply Graphite for an ever expanding range of uses for the mineral! And ASAP!
