It’s a rights issue, not a placement. Everyone gets exactly the same opportunity. The Directors are only taking up their entitlement and no more. Even if nobody took up a single right in this issue and only the directors took up their rights, their combined shareholding would go from 33% to 43%. Seems like a whole lot of trouble to just increase your stake by 10%
The truth is always much simpler than everyone wants to believe, this is a company that has 1.1m oz of gold and in need of money to keep moving the project forward and the Directors are giving everyone the same opportunity to participate, that’s it!
People are upset because they wanted a rocketing share price and are quick to dump because they are overstretched, scared or both. Could be that people doubt their own judgement, probably because they haven’t researched enough or don’t know what to research.
