Yes, was on Roy Hill before mine camp was constructed, 2011to 2013. Worked for a consultant (Coffey Mining) to Samsung CT and NRW.

Mainly involved with design of ROM and 356km rail mine to port.


Having been involved with many quarry/borrow pits I can tell you a drill blast operation with a couple of dumper trucks, 2/3 excavators, 2 jaw crushers and 1 or 2 Ote sorters we could easily produce 2000+t per day of raw material. What I am not familiar with is the thru put of the Steinhert sorters. Size matters, larger size is more cost etc but 3000t per week of 25% DSO is very good coin for a start up operation. Having said that we could operate all those machine with an 8 to 10 man crew per shift. Minimun 2 x 10 hour shift per day.

Once again, referring to old mate and his infrastructure comment, a camp for 40+ staff could get us producing 20 to 30,000t of raw DSO in a 4 to 5 month season. Daylight 24/7 Canadian summer
