Yes you are correct in that high PSA blood count tests are misleading which can lead to diagnosis misjudgements where the phobia of living with and monitoring cancer leads to expensive surgical removal of and complication risks. The current method as I understand it to properly diagnose the cancer that an individual has is with a biopsy prior to removal. A problem that I have heard of with this is that you now have a wound on the cancer that is leaking and potentially seeding to new sites where it may start a new cancer site.

If you had much more certainty in the type of cancer that an individual had and assuming that a Promarker P (for want of a better name) test would alert you say 3 or 4 years in advance of a potential change in the characteristics of the cancer becoming less passive and more aggressive then treatment could be modified to accommodate the new circumstances.

Given the large number of potential patients, the slower and less aggressive type of organ confined cancer quite often associated with the prostate it would be a highly sought after test.

Maybe the cash received from the compulsory sale of Proteomics 10% holding in CPR Pharma along with the ongoing R&D Tax Incentive will provide the funding that leverages the skills and technology that Proteomics has for another Promarker.
