I am a Dr working in an Acute Rehab setting and a predictive diagnosis test is a huge step forward in our current health system for a number of reasons.
Firstly, healthcare costs are only increasing exponentially each year and secondly, we are a "reactive system". Now by this I mean we generally wait (when a patient is sick enough to see a Dr or comes to emergency) till a patient has a medical condition before treating the symptoms. A predictive diagnosis test is proactive healthcare. Educate the person on what they need to be doing now, so they don't end up in an Acute Rehab ward with bilateral BKA (below knee amputations).
The issue with proactive healthcare is that it is very hard to quantify the outcomes of the money spent in this area. It is only years down the track that we will begin to see a return on the initial money spent and governments are all about being able to quantify a return on their investment in hospitals.
I personally love this company and like I have told many, just be patient. In my opinion this will be a CSL in 20 - 30 years time.
