May I share my opinion to your post cujo. I am not answering for Ya.

Each well has objectives to accomplish. Not every well is expected to hit gas and oil and not every well is to be a production well.

COP and KAR has had a lot of drill problems in the Browse Basin. Sooner or later these issues has to be resolved. Ya said it best. We can punch all the holes in the ground and find all the oil and gas we want but we have to be able to get it out of the ground in a production manner.

I think this drill is going to resolve a lot of these issues. Once the final BHA is in place the drill team can go back and do as many test necessary.

Good question. A lot of people do not understand the purpose of exploration drilling.

I have cousins and friends that are drillers on rigs like this and bigger. Each one says the same thing. You can have all the fancy tools available but the best tool is experience. They know each sound and vibration on their rigs. Running by the seat of their pants is our expression.
Every drill is different. The drillers are doing a good job here.
