Of the three forms of hydrogen (compression, liquid and ammonia) being evaluated to be produced and exported, compression is a front runner due to technological restraints of supplementary forms. Exporting hydrogen in its most natural form (compressed) is crucial, in order to keep the cost as close to or under that magic $2kg to make hydrogen commercially viable. Provaris CEO Martin Carolan has always said, the company does not intend their compression supply chain to be the only supply chain, but in the markets infancy that is the competitive advantage when the market will be driven by cost.
