I'm not particularly worried there were no financials in the scoping study. My view is that this is a deliberate and strategic decision and taken to avoid getting the traditional owners off side. Support for the project from Indigenous landholders is a key project risk and my view is that until lease payments for Indigenous people is sorted and agreed with traditional owners it is best not to sound arrogant and preempt what this may look like. Discussions are ongoing and will be more than simply cash and likely include a holistic social and employment package. Which it needs to do.
