Interesting in that a provisional patent for the S Max process has been lodged but considerable detail is provided on the process in the announcement. Provisional patents are valid for 12 months to allow time for a full patent application to be developed. However, usually, the details are kept a closely guarded secret until the full patent is granted - a provisional patent doesn't offer any patent protection at all.
Also, it doesn't say whether the application is in Australia (which I presume) or other countries as well. If not, there is nothing to stop others from 'copying' the process in other jurisdictions.
