Auto, whereabouts are you getting the $1200 AISC figure from?
$959 was the figure for the September quarter and the the last update had $996 as the average for the four months ending October. By my calcs that makes October US$1110.
The sell off might be a bit overdone now given this is expected to be a short term problem, although the company's inability to quantify the impact is worrying. It'd be good to know about backup generation capacity etc. It's unclear whether Perseus will have full backup when the grid power is down and hence produce the same number of ounces with higher costs for diesel. I guess it comes down to optimisation.
