What are the rules regarding on-market acquisitions? Is this announcement by PRU the earliest time at which the market needed to be informed that Perseus was acquiring a strategic stake. A 27.27% (640M shares) stake is not acquired in a day. Based on the market volume and in the unlikely scenario that PRU was the buyer of each share, a subtantial shareholder notice (+5%) would have to have been lodged at or before the end of May 24.
Feel Perseus has short-changed a lot of ex shareholders who did not have all the facts. Luckily not me!!
