Thanks for a great discussion post @BigDaniel, and I couldn't agree more that there is no argument about the scientific validity of PTX-100 - I look forward to seeing the therapy realised in patients and achieving benefits in patients with unmet need. However, I must respectfully disagree that we have a clearly correlated situation between PTX and sector performance, as you can see below with a comparison of the charts between PTX and the ASX 200 Health Care sector (XHJ). PTX commenced a downtrend from December last year whilst XHJ maintained a sideways channel that eventually broke in mid-June this year - by then, things only went from bad to worse for PTX. The stars aligned for both PTX and the sector (XHJ) at the beginning of November, but PTX couldn't follow through whilst the sector (XHJ) continued in strength to this very day.
Quite interesting how the initial decline in share price in December last year coincided with the 'debacle' in company options noted in a recent message. So, yes, this COULD be an isolated PTX problem, but as also stated in that message, I'm willing to give PTX management the benefit of the doubt. Quoted from the famous Stephen King, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times, shame on both of us". Never afraid to trust in people, never afraid to learn from experience, but always important to remain aware and cautious, and accept that ultimate responsibility for actions lies on one's self.
Considering past performance, I reiterate my position that new share price lows below October lows would indicate significant underlying issues with company management which would warrant action to close out current positions. Until then, I remain confident / optimistic with what appears to be promising results with PTX-100 as stated in the recent message (business, both trading and investing requires a level head and is nothing personal).
