asx responsibilities

    Dear all

I am new to the forum and have learned a lot after going through those messages posted. Here are a couple of naïve thoughts of mine. Any comments or suggestions where I could possibly find more information in this regard are much appreciated. (I am not sure whether similar thoughts have been raised or discussed previously. If so, my apology in advance)

    1. Class action against an asx listed company

Why do all those class actions have to deal with the company directly, but not ASX instead?

One purchased an item from a department store (for example) and he/she was not happy with the quality of the goods afterwards for whatever the reasons, he/she would only need to deal with that department store but not the manufacturer of the goods.

    What is the difference here?

    2. For those bought MFS/OCV shares on the last trading day.

Anything traded on an open market (shares on ASX included??), their values would vary from time to time. But for people they bought their OCV/MFS shares on the last day of its trading on ASX seemed to me the goods were simply faulty.

Does ASX have some responsibilities here to help its customs to sort this matter out?

Thanks for your time and kind regards.
