ICR...On 23/12/21 Merchant Fund became 'Substantial shareholders' with 8.79% of the company.

Would you not expect a placement of 35m to 65m at 15-20c giving 'Merchant Funds' a position of between 5-10% of the company? Perhaps more in step with other holdings and more realistic given the current share price and strength of PTX cash position (3.5 years at current cash burn).

This could mean a hypothetical injection of circa $10m depending on size of placement and price, this would be a more likely ball park placement in my opinion.

When you take into consideration the $14-15m currently on hand, add a very likely further $6m in option conversion by March 2023 (pending a disaster the bulk of option holders will see the logic in conversion vs expiry and complete write off of assets at current share price)....

Prescient could hypothetically have an expected balance of about $25m by March 2023 after deducting $4.4m for the next 4 quarters expenditure.

That's a very strong position to attack an expanded scope of activities...Not taking into consideration the expected news flow over the next 12-18 months that could very likely see PTX trading at many multiples of the current market capitalisation....Which means the capacity to raise lot's of further funding at minimal dilution.

Due to Prescient’s current cash position & low shares on issue...I feel Steven is in an excellent position to keep the company well capitalised with minimal new SOI...But that doesn't mean taking today's strengths for granted...A strategic placement may still well be a prudent exercise in securing funding beyond current activities for many years to come...Importantly removing conjecture amongst the markets as to how we will fund near term trials and equally playing guessing games regarding possible retail capital raisings which can weigh on share prices as/if the good news comes...A placement could be an important release valve in conjunction with good news that assists with market cap appreciation.
