With Phase 1 trials being primarily about the safety and side effects of a drug, we couldn't have got a BIGGER TICK.
"No dose limiting toxicities" BIG TICK for its completely safe
AND
"Another patient in Complete Remission" BIG TICK for continued proof of efficacy
Like PTX100, to be proven completely safe is huge. What that means is that it opens up doors as a companion drug as well as a monotherapy given the hugely successful efficacy results it is achieving.
Both PTX100 and PTX200 are proving to be as promising as I think we could expect in diseases that are hard to treat with such poor prognoses and given that we can only treat (in clinical trials) those that are virtually on death's door.
