I do need to correct myself when I said no reason was given in the announcement for the land purchase. They do in fact say its for greater accessibility to and from the mine site and compliments existing operations at its Nagambie mine. As there is no existing Nagambie mine, I presume they mean accessibility to and from the pits. Forking out $900k for accessibility I therefore reason must imply delivering something into the pits and to shell out $900k there must be a degree of confidence there will be something going into the pits . The only other alternative is that they expect to discover an economic gold resource nearby and mine it. The current gold exploration is targetting the area to the west of the western pit but we are a long way from a discovery hole yet, let alone an economic resource to justify a mine. So that seems rather a stretch of the imagination at this point of time. I keep coming back to the first option
