I believe the purchase was for the technology (IP) more so than the user base. Companies like Facebook, Apple, Microsoft have been doing it since day one. To get ahead requires buying out other competitors. I see this is a smart strategic move in further gaining market share in the faith sector.
I suspect they'll eventually fold it into the unified PushPay brand and app offering. Not immediately though, but some time away.
Church Community Builder offers a fill for a gap in their current product.
