Medimmune paid US$0.75m upfront and committed to another US$0.75m in research funding for the first twelve months, while Phylogica can receive up to US$98m in milestones. Phylogica was able to show, early on in the collaboration, that its peptides could kill multi-drug resistant bacteria.
