It's a tough one - Akki has nailed it I suspect and if you add that some traders would be getting stopped out yesterday and today then you get the retreat from those who can't wait for a better price. Bids around 4c have always been there in my observation - they just don't leave the orders in all the time and they don't chase it - you know they are real cause they appear when the market gets close ie they WANT to get hit - props tend to dissapear when the market gets close.
