Script can be a concern. I wouldn't be too concerned about salaries. There's been a trim in recent years.
At this point I would rather pay a good salary to good people. Tech salaries can be pretty high, sometimes even higher than senior execs. On the other hand if you are paying execs exorbitant fees, that might be a problem.
