Reading through the strategy update I can't help but think that Myer's is being run through the myopic view of their flagship Melbourne and Sydney stores and that doesn't really translate as you move away from these areas geographically. Certainly here in WA, the strategy takes them further away from providing what customers want, so I can see tougher times ahead for them here.
I also wonder if, whilst they are focused on mining their customers data, they might like to spare some time to focus on those that are not customers, and find-out why they don't shop with Myer.
All up this business needs to be sold before it ends up closing all but a handful of stores. I see little positive in todays updates.
