As a long term shareholder and a happy one, Dividends do look confusing.
The final payment - paid in 1st quarter of new calendar year is unknown and is the balancing item to reflect the 100% payout.
The real beauty in this announcement is the recurring quarterly payments they have risen over the years substantially.
2019 - 5c
2020 -7.5c
2021 - 9c
2022 - 13c
Unbelievable performance, and with this years increase it foreshadows a fully year profit upgrade as based on previous years the quarterly would have been 10.5c - to get to the 42c paid for the EPS of 2021. This time they are effectively forecasting a fullyear 52c EPS (which they usually beat anyway!!)
That's my understanding of it anyway. Clear as mud??
